I love my bike
I’m posting these terrible pics of my new bike just for Karen, The dog will probably go in the pannier bag I have as the basket is rather shallow. Besides he looks much cuter with his head poking out of the top of the bag !
Lee bought be a really nice bell too (excuse the blurred pic)
I’ve actually only been out on it twice as its hard to get out on my own when the children are off school. I’ll have plenty of time when they go back though.
You remember me mentioning that our new tent had collapsed during the winds in scotland? Well we got the refund and have bought a Cabanon Athena frame tent. I’m beside myself. Its like a house. We’re off to Bakewell this weekend to try it out and I’ll be sure to take lots of pics. For now you can have a look at others Athenas here.
It was Lees birthday on Monday and my gift was a new tattoo for him. He’s had a terrible and rather large tattoo on his upper arm since he was 15 and really wanted it covered. so now thanks to Sween, hes got the start of a lovely big fishy. I cant wait to see it finished, it’ll be awesome. Look at this pain face from Lee.
Thankfully he was only pretending. The line work is top niotch as is to be expected from Mr Sween. He’s meticulous in his work.
I had a little bit more work done on my cover up. I have a beautiful purple rose where my Kurt halsey piece was. I will get L to take some pics tomorrow.
The outdoor type
As its summer I try my best to be outdoors as often as possible. Mostly that means getting rained on but at least its not cold ! when we’re not camping we’re pottering about outside or having a mooch round town buying unnecessary bits and pieces. These are my excuses for not blogging. I’m just enjoying real life too much to sit at the computer!
I have been doing some crafty things but seem to be starting lots and not really finishing anything. Again I blame the summer for this. Here are the pics, there is a reclamation scarf, Big granny cushion (from thrifted yarn) and some of my big granny sqaures that will become a big blanket for winter TV watching!
Clachtoll
So we’re back from another brilliant Scottish adventure. It’s still as beautiful as ever and honstly I would love to stay there forever. We ended up coming home a day early as our tent took a real battering in 80 mph winds. One of the tension straps broke and the whole thing started to collapse. It wasn’t very pleasant and I was so disappointed with the tents performance. We contacted the seller and they are giving us a full refund, no questions asked. I’m relieved, I really thought we’d struggled to get it fixed never mind a replacement! So big blue will be coming out of retirement for the rest of the season.
I didn’t really take many pics as I was to busy enjoying myself. Here are the few I did take though.
