So we brought our lovely Beagle girl home on Saturday and she couldn’t be a better dog. Not only is she friendly, funny and cheeky she’s also very, very beautiful. We’re all so tired from having her here. It’s been like having a newborn baby. Her energy levels are really high she’s had me walking 3 (fast) miles in a morning and she doesn’t even look tired! we are so pleased we found her.
We all have guilty pleasures. You know those things that we really enjoy but don’t want to admit to others. I think it can be quite a revelation when you discover other peoples. Of course if they involve bestiality or something equally …odd then it’s not that much fun. Mine are pretty mainstream so I’ll share a few. I pretty sure no one thinks I’m cool anyway so it won’t damage my reputation.
Musically I think it has to be Del amitri. I love Del amitri. LOVE them. They are old and adored by middle aged teachers but I adore them too and they are the top played band in my itunes!
Next is Night cops. I really like watching this. It’s a 50/50 split on who I abhor the most, the police or the drunken nob heads. It’s really trashy tele I know.
and finally the guiltiest pleasure of all. Heat magazine *hangs head in shame*
Lee has danced like this for years but always insisted he was just mimicking the moves of Mr Van Damn. I never really believed him until I finally got around to you tubing the clip. My favourite bit is at about 1.02. Classic.
We went and met her and she was great! Much better than we had expected. She appears to have no issues at all and was fine with Mal. I was really surprised how calm she was considering the stressful environment and her age. So we just have to sort the paperwork and then pick her up on Saturday.

The past few weeks I have been mostly sleeping. When I’m not sleeping I’m just kind of drifting from one project to another. I’ve been working in my granny squares and have made about 30 so far. It’s not very inspiring using up all the crappy bits of yarn in my stash. I hate most of the colours. I’m sure one of the dogs will want it when its done so it’s all OK. talking of dogs, we may have a little beagle girl joining our pack next week. We’re off to meet her tomorrow and if we like each other she’ll be ours. Poor girl is only 18 months and has spent the last seven days in the pound waiting to be claimed, her owners never came forward do she’s been moved to a rescue in Yorkshire which will hopefully be her last stop before coming to us. Mal will be very pleased, I’m sure. Susie will be relived that she’s no longer his main focus!

We went to see A camp at the academy last night and they were awsome. Best gig in ages. I had expected them to be good but was blown away by how tight they were. Nina Persson’s vocals were perfect and I have to say she looked amazing too, I think most of us fell a little bit in love with her. Nina can definately turn a straight girls head.
I finished my giant granny square on Sunday mainly due to the fact I sat with Lee on the sofa all day while he was poorly. I thought he might have swine flu but it turns out to be nothing quite so exciting. It’s just a regular cold/virus thing. I hope he gets better soon because the sweating in bed next to me is getting a bit gross.
I’ve over the moon with the way the blanket turned out. It was lovely to make and is lovely to use. The weight of it is very satisfying. I’ll be taking it camping on Friday for sure.
