so very bored.
I have had blood tests this morning and I’m off to the dentist this afternoon to have four crowns fitted ( it will cost a small fortune) all in all a pretty crap day! We’re off to the cinema tonight to watch X men origins-Wolverine and I’m hoping that will make everything OK.
Not much to report really. I’m still working on the giant granny square and I hope to have it finished by the time Lee & I go camping next weekend. We’re leaving the kids with my mum for a couple of nights so it’ll be just us. Think we’re going to go hiking on the Saturday followed by some tea and a few pints in the pub, then back to camp Selwood for scrabble, Good times^_^
Because I’m so bored I’ll share one of my favourite songs with you.

Beth Orton is constantly being played by me just now. I go through phases where I never listen to her then, like now I have to listen over and over again.
I visited Ceramics in the round with my friend Jayne on Saturday. There were many beautiful items on display but sadly most of them were way out of my price range. A few favourites were from Nicola Cheers and Rachel Jane Holland I did manage to pick up this tiny bowl but unfortunately have forgotten the name of the artist. I’m rubbish, I know.

I’m obsessed with Granny squares. They are the perfect project for my addled little brain to tackle. I can’t seem to follow even the simplest of patterns due to my lack of concentration so these I can just churn out without even looking. They are a great way to use up all the bits in your stash and will make perfect camping blankets. The first one will be a giant granny square made from two lots of cotton I’ve had for ages. The second ones will be mismatched and thrown together. Granny squares rock.

Camping was great. We had beautiful weather all weekend and the campsite to ourselves. It was very cold at night which meant I had to wear a lot of layers. In this pic I’m wearing:
Berghaus coat
Bergahaus micro fleece
North face thick fleece
Tracksuit bottoms
Wool socks
2 t shirts
fake fur hat
scarf
and a towel wrapped around me.
I slept in all of these apart from the top coat !

L looked much more glam than me as you can see.

and one where we all look a bit worse for wear…

Our new set up worked really well, especially the kitchen tent. The new Sumatra was great, I felt very posh.

Our next trip is in two weeks and I think it’ll just be me and lovely Lee. I can’t wait.
The weather has been beautiful here in Derbyshire over the last few days. It makes such a difference having a bit of sunshine and lighter nights. Things don’t seem so rushed.
Lee and I are looking forward to our planned camping trips. The first is in about three weeks when we’re off to Anglesey for 2 nights. We’re camping right near the beach and plan on not doing much at all. D has decided to make little collections from each place we visit. I thought it would be good to fill a matchbox or something equally small from each place. They would make nice keepsakes I think.
I had a great night out on Saturday with my good friend Leanne. It’s amazing how a few hours of drinks, good company and making fun of people can lift your spirits!
Lee has also booked a few days off so we can do some stuff with the kids this week. We’re off to Manchester museum tomorrow because D has become obsessed with Ancient Egypt. I love the museum and so does Lee. We’ll probably have more fun than the kids!
I can’t seem to concentrate on much these days so haven’t managed to complete any craft projects apart from random bits of amigurumi. I have so much I want to do. Maybe I should make list so I don’t forget.
I’ll leave you with a random photo to end the random post.
