I started This hat last night. It will be my camping 09 hat, if I don’t look a complete idiot in it. I should have it finished tonight.

I have a few other projects going but can’t seem to concentrate on anything long enough to finish it these days.

EDIT: Apparently I only felt this way because I had PMT and was overly hormonal. Now I’m back to my usual misanthropic self I have realised the error of my ways…….

I have tried to be productive over the last few days but the truth is, I can’t be arsed. I still haven’t painted the kitchen but I did finish these badges for a friends band.

I also got around to taking pics of my embroidery. The robot one is going in a frame for my dining room and the other is a cushion cover. Both were just made up as I went and I found it really relaxing. I also did a little cross stitch sampler featuring a very bad word for Lee’s desk at work.

I’m hungry now………..

I found the perfect drawers this morning for £20 from Emmaus. They are in such good condition and have obviously been well loved. All my nice yarn live in these now along with other knitting supplies. Excuse the crappy pics!

This weekend has been really productive. we finished my office space aside from the floor and I painted the dining room white and put up new curtains. I also gave all the white walls in the living room a quick once over as they were looking pretty grotty. we’ve only got to re-arrange the conservatory and paint the kitchen and then I think we’re done. Our plan is to get all  our inside jobs finished by the end of feb so we can enjoy guilt free weekends away when the weather gets warmer. I tried to take pics of the dining room but it’s so bloody small I could only mange this. Once the bookcase is gone I’ll open both doors and get a proper photo.

I’ve been embroidering some cusion covers and other bits that I have to show you but I’ll save that for another post.

I’ve finished the Glacier lake toe up socks and they are the business. I had to rip out the bind off because I couldn’t get my fat little feet into it. All is well now that I’ve re-done it much, much looser.

I’ve cast on a top down raglan cardi using some cotton aran I have and also some little hand warmers for D. I’m going to use up at least a 1/4 of my stash before I buy more yarn.

Mum is having the kids tonight while we go to Ikea for a mattress and desk top. I’m not looking forward to it at all. I used to love Ikea but now I dread going, especially at night. People insist on dragging their children round there when they are tired and bored shitless, this leads to screaming from them and a rage build up in me! We’re going to try and finish my little workspace and also some other jobs that are hanging around this weekend. I’m in charge of painting everywhere….yay.

We went to see The Wrestler last night and it was awesome. Mikey Rourke’s performance was outstanding and the rest of the cast were pretty much perfect. The film itself was heartbreaking and we left the cinema feeling like we’d watched something worthwhile and feeling a little depressed. I doubt I’ll see a better film this year.

Lee did this to my “office” on Saturday.

There used to be a wall and a door there so it was an understairs cupboard. My Mac & I were housed in there like Harry Potter. The plan is for me to use it as my work space and there is quite a lot of room under there for storage and a decent sized desk now. When the wall was there it was dead space and you couldn’t actually get to anything. I’m sure it will look lovely when it’s finished but at the moment it looks pretty grim. I think the fact it’s in our living room makes things worse, I can’t stop looking at the mess!

My tonsilitis is really horrible this time and I feel exhausted after being ill for a week. I’m hoping my antibiotics will start working tomorrow and I’ll feel better.I can’t seem to get anything done and I have a lot to do !

Oh and I’ve seen the first episode of season 5 BSG  >_____<
