Well I’m all done for crimble and I have to say I’m getting very excited! I f-ing LOVE Christmas! I can’t wait to see the kids faces when they open their presents and I’m wondering if Lee will like the gifts I got him. For us it all officially starts as soon as Lee finishes work on Christmas eve. I make a huge lot of food and we spend all night eating, drinking and getting ourselves all hyper. Oh I bloody love it.

I have finished up all my work stuff until next year when I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do. I will probably take some time off to learn something new. Maybe do a course or something. I am certain though that I don’t want to work with people. People, in general, suck.

My trip to the Cinema to watch Twilight was horrible. I was surrounded by teenage girls with their raging hormones and high pitched voices. They actually clapped and squealed when Bella and Edward kissed. FFS! I hope I was never that annoying.
The film was pretty bad although better than the book. To be fair it would probably have been better than the book if I’d have made it, the book was awful. It’s a shame because the story is good but Stephanie meyer in my opinion is a terrible writer. The thing that did confuse me was in Empires review they said Kristen Stewarts acting was good. They must have been watching something different because she was appalling! Robert Pattison was a bit better but pretty wooden. He’s nowhere near pretty enough to play Edward.

As all out favourite TV shows are on Mid-Season breaks we’ve been watching BSG again. It’s awsome and has renewed my crush on Jamie Bamber (Apollo). Apollo is my second favourite Lee, my husband being my first ^_^

Yay! I got photo of the day on poladroid.net with the pic from my previous post. I’m way too excited about thia ha,ha!

My knitting projects are coming along nicely, my surgery has been canceled which although extremely stressful is still brilliant news and I’m so full of Christmas spirit I could burst! I love Christmas so much and was very happy when I realised it’s only a week until Christmas eve! The kids finish school this Friday and we have lots of baking planned as well as just generally working ourselves into a frenzy. I have also promised to take L to see Twilight on Friday, having forced myself to read the book (which is utter shite) I’m not really looking forward to it. I know how much she wants to see it though so figured I’d do my duty whilst earning some cool mum points while I’m at it.

I want to start a new photography project in the new year but I have no idea what. I’m completely void of inspiration at the minute. Maybe if I stop worrying about taking photos, I’ll start wanting to again.

We’ve all been half dead with some horrible bloody virus. Thankfully we’re all getting back to normal now but it’s been really horrible.

Knitting has been my number one activity (when I wasn’t throwing up) and I’m half way done with Lees socks. Jesus, he has big feet. I hope he realises how much love has gone into them. I usually knit socks on double pointed needles but with this pair I started using the magic loop method about half way into the first sock. It really is quicker and not as much hassle. I think I’m converted. I’m going to try 2 socks at once for my next pair (crazy I know ! ^_^)

Poladroid has kept me busy, it’s actually pretty addictive and the results are brilliant. I can’t wait until the pro version comes out.

Also Poladroid is the best app ever!

I’m waiting for my mum & dad to arrive. They are coming for their dinner, or lunch depending on where you’re from. They never come here to eat, it’s usually us that scrounge a meal off them. I’ve made a cottage pie cabbage and carrots. It should be a nice, filling winter dinner.

I wan to learn how to paint but I don’t know how to go about it. Any ideas? I’ve already checked my local college but the don’t have any courses.

My life is completely stressful at the minute and so lots of knitting is being done in order to take my mind of all the crap. I’m also drinking lots of wine. I’m mostly trying to cast on projects that are easy and not frustrating such as the Easy mittens

They were made to kind of match this hat made from Elizabeth Heath Heckmans pattern. It’s the perfect pattern for D’s hats and I think I’ll make a cotton version for chilly summer nights camping. Excuse the crappy camera phone pic, it was taken on the walk to school.

Another problem I seem to have lately is my lack of willpower when it comes to eating stuff and buying stuff. I keep trying to justify both by saying “its christmas” but deep down I know it’s because I’m fed up and buying/eating cheers me up no end. Apart from presents for others I’ve been looking around Socktopus at all the lovelies. I managed to just buy 2 sets of needles and 2 lots of yarn. I was very pleased with myself but I fear many more visits will happen over the next few weeks even if it’s just so I can get parcels wrapped in beautiful socktopus tissue paper!

My decorations are up and looking really lovely. I have been trying and failing to get a decent pic. It’s not been made any easier by the fact I’ve had to return my 450d to Play.com. I reckon it had a dodgy light meter or something. I was getting shutter speeds of 1/20th during the day at f1.8 with a an ISO of 800! Not right at all. I’m hoping the replacement arrives early next week because there is nothing sadder than a photographer without a camera >_<
