Knitty Nora

I have had a mostly computer free weekend. I’m trying my hardest to cut down the time I spend sat at my desk and want at least 2 days a week where I don’t even switch my machine on. So far I’m doing pretty well.

I’ve got lots of knitting done and finished up a couple of projects. Cassies Cowl by Thea Colman It’s a really nice, quick knit. I think I will make more of these.

Next I finished my favourite project to date, Ozzy the Wombat.

The pattern is from Cath Dalmenys world of knitted toys-Outback. I love his funny little face and even though I suffered a lot by knitting him from Organic wool, he was well worth it.

After buying some really cheap Debbie Bliss, Stella on Evilbay I went hunting for something to make from it. Shalom by Meghan McFarlane looked like just the thing. It’s knitting up really nicely although I’m positive I’ve done to few rows for the yoke. I should get it finished tomorrow and hopefully it’ll fit someone …….

The rest of my week will be taken up decorating the bedroom and getting annoyed about how little space we have in there.

Take 2

I think I’ve got everything as it was, minor a few bits and pieces that weren’t important enough for me to re-do. Everything is all backed up so I shouldn’t have any more problems.

I’ve been doing lots of creative stuff over the last week or so. Mainly knitting but then I received this in the post.

It’s a beautiful camera and I managed to throw (literally) together a contraption and start shooting TtV today. My very first shot was this one.

It’s pretty good I think. I used my 350d with a 60mm EF-s Macro lens. I might try with the point and shoot tomorrow because I’m thinking I can tape it to the contraption which would make things much easier. I’m feeling very inspired and will hopefully find my love of photography again. Somehow I lost that when I became professional. There is nothing like customers to make you hate something you once loved ! In fact i have my last pro job on the 1st November. After that I’m taking a long break and will only take on jobs that are particularly interesting.
My other photography plans are to start shooting film again and processing it at home. B & W processing is pretty easy and straight forward from what I can remember and it’ll be lots of fun. L is buying my a Diana for Chrimble, that should get me off to a good start.

I never learn

I have just deleted my entire blog including the database. I didn’t have the layout backed up or anything else.

I’ll be back soon when I have time to re-design.
