Orange!!
This was knit from Paulas brilliant pattern that you can get here. I really wish it’d fit me. Look how lovely and orange it is. Oh how I LOVE orange….
Brain dump
This is one of those posts that nobody wants to read, but tough. It’s my blog and I’ll waffle if I want to.
Christmas in nearly here and I’m getting very excited. I have a million things I want to make, including paper snowflakes, bauble wreath, table centre piece, and a print with a winter theme for the living room. I honestly intend on making all of those things but I doubt I will. I just keep planning and reading home magazines with christmas stuff in.
My main dilemma is when to put the tree and decorations up. I usually do it on the 1st December but then I’m really fed up of them by boxing day. I was going to wait until we return from our log cabin trip on 14th but I just don’t think I can wait that long! Everyone is really miserable on our close. They throw a scabby tree up a week before christmas and thats it.
I also keep changing my mind on what I’m cooking for Christmas dinner. I keep finding better recipes. I do know I’m making roast tomato soup for starter and mini Christmas cakes for desert.
I have lots of ideas going around in my head again but can’t seem to achieve much. I’m trying to record stuff in a journal so I don’t forget. Maybe then I can come back to it when I can settle down.
Heres a scarf I made that was immediately stolen by my mother along with some lovely cashmerino mittens.
Oh the shame
Lee says it much better than I could.

I was going to go to my local knit meet tonight but didn’t feel up to it. I’ve been more miserable than usual this past week and didn’t want to inflict others. That was nice of me I think.
I made another Tuva hat because I love the pattern and it knits up in a night. I used Sirdar eco wool for this and it’s lovely and warm. The colours are nice too. I look really bad in this pic but I hey ho .
I’m going to wear it next Saturday when we camp here. I hope its not to chilly. Little green will keep us warm I’m sure.
Wascally wabbits
I’ve been busy coding websites so no time for crafts. It’s a shame because I’ve got so many things I want to do. I found these lovely free embroidery patterns by Andrea Zuill and plan on sewing this one for a cushion cover.
My knitting is driving me nuts at the moment. I have nothing in my stash I want to knit with but don’t want to buy anymore yarn until I’ve used up some of what I’ve got. Mostly my stash is made up of odd balls of various yarns that I’ve either picked up from charity shops or I’ve only been able to afford one or two balls. Maybe I should just knit hats to use it all up. I could always put them away to use next year. Once I’ve made some room I’m only going to buy yarn that I already have a project for.
Forget that. Whilst typing this I strayed onto ravelry and found this pattern by Stefanie Japel. I’ll knit a few of these along with some hats and I should be down quite a few balls ^_^
We’ve also managed to convince ourselves that we need a bunny. D wants to call it Logan if it’s a boy, after Wolverine. I’ve contacted a breeder of mini lionhead rabbits and we will maybe have our little guy by the end of February. Secretly I want one of these but I don’t think I could get Lee to accept it.
