Admiring the architecture in Rome we came across this Smart car which had been decorated with a natty, crocheted cover! Never seen anything like this before!

I have developed coccydynia. Its very painful and means I cant really sit at the computer without crying out in pain. I’ve had it for a couple of months but only went to the Drs. yesterday. There isn’t any treatment and the only thing that will cure it is not sitting on it. Thats hard when you’re a lazy cow like me. Lee is buying me a rubber ring to sit on, that should help.

I’ve finished a few crochet projects that I’m pleased with. First there is the african flower cushion. I’m getting a new sofa and chairs on monday and I made it just for that reason.

Then my biggest crochet project yet, the giant granny blanket! It’s so lovely and soft. I’m delighted with it.

Its also got the beagle seal of approval which is of course what I live for.

This blanket is for my living room. It’s so lovely and soft but not too heavy which is exactly what I wanted. I think I’m going to do 3 squares wide and 4 long. Each square is about 18 inches across so it’ll be a fair old size. It’s quite good fun until you get to the last couple of rounds, they seem to take forever! I’m not looking forward to doing the border around the whole thing when it’s finished.

I’ve not really wanted to post anything because, well, just because. Projects have been completed although not all have been photographed.
These were made to use up bits of stash as I’m determined to have a thrifty year. They look lovely and were super quick to make.

These slippers are so comfy. I’m going to be making lots of these I think! Pattern is from The purl Bee.

Yet again I’m trying to use up the yarn in my stash. I don’t know how I manage to acquire so much crappy yarn . Well I do, it’s because I’m tight and can’t justify expensive yarn, except for socks. So I buy cheapo stuff that I don’t really want to use or I buy a couple of skeins of quality yarn but not enough to make anything worthwhile. I’m just going to give all the crap to the charity shop and start again.

This bag is inspired by this pattern over at attic24 although I obviously didn’t follow the pattern. I like it and think it will be nice as as a summer beach bag.
