I’m now the very proud owner of an ipad. It’s THE best toy ever. This bank holiday has been spent wrestling with my sewing machine in order to produce this.
It’s not perfect because I’m a crappy seamstress. It’s does the job though and looks pretty cute.
I am still alive and kicking and I have been making things, just not finishing them. I’ve been working on some jewelry and some blythe projects but I haven’t touched any knitting or crochet in weeks. I’ve just not been in the mood for it.
Our Glamping trip this weekend is going to be amazing and I bought a Kayak yesterday to take with us. I shall be wearing a wetsuit and enjoying some family time in the sea. I can’t wait. I will be sure to take lots of pic, not of me in a wetsuit though, that is just wrong.
I’m working on a few projects and also we’re about to start knocking walls down in the kitchen. So updating here is taking a back seat. I’ve even cancelled our camping trip for this weekend because we are just too busy. Shocking I know !
I’m almost finished with my giant granny blanket with just half a square to go. I think I’m going to do a scalloped edge when its all finished. This is a terrible pic and it looks all wonky due to the wide angled lens.
I’ve also made some progress on Karens dolly. She’s going to be very pretty when shes finished. Well I hope so anyway!
Last of all I had a delivery of yarn from Texere. Its all lovely, bright DK cotton. Not sure what I’ll use it for but I’m thinking yet another blanket is in order.
Yet again I’m trying to use up the yarn in my stash. I don’t know how I manage to acquire so much crappy yarn . Well I do, it’s because I’m tight and can’t justify expensive yarn, except for socks. So I buy cheapo stuff that I don’t really want to use or I buy a couple of skeins of quality yarn but not enough to make anything worthwhile. I’m just going to give all the crap to the charity shop and start again.
This bag is inspired by this pattern over at attic24 although I obviously didn’t follow the pattern. I like it and think it will be nice as as a summer beach bag.
A birthday gift for my dog groomer friend. He’s cute, I wanted to keep him for myself.
As its summer I try my best to be outdoors as often as possible. Mostly that means getting rained on but at least its not cold ! when we’re not camping we’re pottering about outside or having a mooch round town buying unnecessary bits and pieces. These are my excuses for not blogging. I’m just enjoying real life too much to sit at the computer!
I have been doing some crafty things but seem to be starting lots and not really finishing anything. Again I blame the summer for this. Here are the pics, there is a reclamation scarf, Big granny cushion (from thrifted yarn) and some of my big granny sqaures that will become a big blanket for winter TV watching!
